Kobe Bryant is “Big, In The City” In New ad


Kobe Bryant is in a new campaign called “Big, In The City.” This campaign focuses on the “Smart Car” and proves that even the biggest star in the NBA can “be big” in the smart car. Bryant has also become the brand ambassador for Smart Cars in China. In addition, Kobe will also tour China, aka his “home away from home,” in July. Bryant’s popularity in China was apparent during the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where he helped secure a gold medal for the United States.. Today, he is a star in Beijing on-the-court, off-the-court and, as you can see here, in a Smart Car.

Kobe Bryant becomes the longest tenured Laker


Kobe Bryant has given us countless memories and memorable moments throughout his storied career. Coming straight from high school in 1996, Kobe has now become the longest tenured Laker in franchise history. That is saying a lot considering the special franchise; full of it's all-time great players. Mike Trudell from Lakers.com has more: With L.A.’s win over New Orleans on March 27, Kobe Bryant became the longest tenured player in Lakers history. Bryant has now appeared in 1,094 games for the Purple and Gold in his 15 seasons dating back to 1996-97, surpassing the 1,093 games played by NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Bryant also holds the franchise mark for most games played in the postseason (198). In his storied NBA career, Bryant has averaged 25.3 points per game to climb all the way up to 6th on the league’s all-time scoring chart. He’s also contributed 5.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.5 steals while winning five championships and two Finals MVP awards, plus being named to All-NBA teams in 12 straight seasons, All-Defensive teams 10 times, and an All-Star starter 13 straight times with a record-tying four All-Star MVP’s. Bryant named Western Conference Player of the Week


The Orlando Magic's Dwight Howard and Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant today were named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, March 21, through Sunday, March 27. Here is a recap of the week for Bryant: Bryant paced the league in scoring, averaging 36.3 points, in leading the Lakers to a 3-0 week. In the process, Los Angeles extended its winning streak to seven games. On March 22, Bryant scored a season-high 42 points to go along with 12 rebounds and nine assists in a triple overtime victory over the Suns. It was the 107th 40-point game of his career. Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers March 22 vs. Phoenix: Tallied 42 points to go along with 12 rebounds and nine assists in a 139-137 win over the Suns March 25 vs. L.A. Clippers: Scored 37 points to go along with six assists and four rebounds in a 112-104 win over the Clippers. March 27 @ New Orleans: Recorded 30 points, five assists, three rebounds and two steals in a 102-84 victory over the Hornets. Other nominees for the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week were Memphis' Tony Allen and Zach Randolph, Miami's Chris Bosh, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook and Sacramento's Marcus Thornton.Continue reading
