News / Games / 76ers falls short to the Lakers

Friday night couldn’t get much better than watching the Los Angeles Lakers win at the Staple Center.  Bryant with 19 points and eight assists and Gasol with 23 points and 11 assists, the Los Angeles Lakers held the 76ers to one field goal over the final 3:40 of a 99-90 victory.

“I felt fine. If they needed me to go off, I could have, but we had so many mismatches with Pau, Andrew and Lamar [Odom] in the fourth quarter,” Bryant said. “My ankle feels 100 percent. I feel strong. I feel solid.”

This game was far from dull, with 23 lead changes, seven ties and 13 fouls called through just the first 3-quarters.  It wasn’t until Jordan Farmar hit a 19 footer that either team took a lead, the 76ers only got a close as two points after that.

The Lakers are still trailing Cleveland by one and half games for the best record in the NBA.

The Lakers beat Denver in last year’s conference finals, and with a nationally televised showdown against Denver coming up on Sunday it should be a game to NOT miss.
